Unemployment rate realized as 10.6%

The number of those children above the age of 15 and unemployed in Turkey in September 2017 decreased by 104 thousand persons compared to the same period last year was 3 million 419 thousand people. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.7 points to 10.6%. In the same period; The non-agricultural unemployment rate was estimated at 12.8%, down by 0.9 percentage points. While the unemployment rate of the young population (15-24 years) was 20% with an increase of 0.1 points, this rate was realized as 10.8% with a decrease of 0.8 points in the 15-64 age group.

Employment rate was 47.9%

Number of employed persons increased by 1 million 233 thousand persons in September 2017 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 28 million 797 thousand persons and the employment rate increased by 1.1 points to 47.9%.

During this period, the number of people working in the agricultural sector increased by 197 thousand and the number of people working in non-agricultural sectors increased by 1 million 36 thousand. 20.3% of those employed were in agriculture, 18.8% in industry, 7.7% in construction and 53.1% in services. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the share of the agricultural sector in employed persons decreased by 0.2 points, the share of industrial sector decreased by 0.3 points, the share of services sector increased by 0.4 points, and the share of construction sector did not change.

Labor force participation rate was 53.6%

Labor force increased by 1 million 128 thousand persons in September 2017 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 32 million 215 thousand persons and the labor force participation rate increased by 0.8 points to 53.6%. According to the comparisons made for the same periods; labor force participation rate for males was 73.1% with a 0.6 percentage point increase and 34.5% for female with 1 percentage point increase.

Kayıt dışı çalışanların oranı %34,8 olarak gerçekleşti

Eylül 2017 döneminde herhangi bir sosyal güvenlik kuruluşuna bağlı olmadan çalışanların oranı, bir önceki yılın aynı dönemine göre 0,2 puan artarak %34,8 olarak gerçekleşti. Tarım dışı sektörde kayıt dışı çalışanların oranı ise bir önceki yılın aynı dönemine göre değişim göstermeyerek %22 oldu.  

Mevsim etkilerinden arındırılmış istihdam arttı, işsizlik azaldı

Mevsim etkilerinden arındırılmış istihdam bir önceki döneme göre 137 bin kişi artarak 28 milyon 488 bin kişi olarak tahmin edildi. İstihdam oranı 0,1 puanlık artış ile %47,4 oldu.

Mevsim etkilerinden arındırılmış işsiz sayısı bir önceki döneme göre 10 bin kişi azalarak 3 milyon 410 bin kişi olarak gerçekleşti. İşsizlik oranı 0,1 puanlık azalış ile %10,7 oldu. 
The rate of informal workers was 34.8%

In September 2017, the percentage of employees working without any social security institutions increased by 0.2 points compared to the same period of the previous year and became 34.8%. The share of informal workers in the non-agricultural sector remained unchanged at 22% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Seasonally adjusted employment increased, unemployment decreased

Seasonally adjusted employment increased by 137 thousand people compared to the previous period was estimated as 28 million 488 thousand people. The employment rate was 47.4%, up 0.1 percentage points.

Seasonally adjusted number of unemployed people decreased by 10 thousand compared to the previous period and amounted to 3 million 410 thousand people. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.1 points to 10.7%.

Seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate increased by 0.1 points to 53.1% compared to the previous period. The number of people employed by economic activity increased by 68 thousand in the agricultural sector, 107 thousand in the service sector, 16 thousand in the industrial sector and 22 thousand in the construction sector.
