housing sales in Turkey increased by 8.8% compared to the same month of the previous year in the month of October 2015 was 098 104. Across Turkey mortgage sales showing a decrease of 18.7% compared to the same month of the previous year was 27 996. The share of mortgaged sales in total house sales was 26.9%. In mortgaged sales, Istanbul ranked first with 6 117 housing sales and 21.8% share. Ardahan had the highest share of mortgaged sales in total house sales with 38.9%.
76 102 properties changed hands as a result of other sales types
Other housing sales in Turkey increased by 24.4% compared to the previous year same the month was 76 102. In other house sales, İstanbul ranked first with 12 351 house sales and 16.2% share. The share of other sales in total housing sales in Istanbul was 66.9%. Ankara ranked second with 7 515 other housing sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with 4 211 housing sales. The province with the least other house sales was Hakkari with 6 houses.

50 564 houses sold for the first time in housing sales
Turkey compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of houses sold increased by 13.6% for the first time in general was 50 564. The share of the first sales in total house sales was 48.6%. Istanbul had the highest share (18.6%) in the first sales with 9 386 houses, followed by Ankara with 4 818 houses and İzmir with 2 438 houses.
53 534 properties changed hands for second hand housing sales
Turkey in the second-hand housing sales showed an increase of 4.7% compared to the same month of the previous year was 53 534. In second-hand housing sales, Istanbul ranked first with 9 082 housing sales and 17% share. The share of second hand sales in total house sales in Istanbul was 49.2%. Ankara ranked second with 6 210 housing sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with the sale of 3 549 houses.
In October 2015, 2 236 homes were sold to foreigners
Housing sales to foreigners increased by 23.8% to 2 236 compared to the same month of the previous year. In October 2015, Istanbul ranked first in terms of housing sales to foreigners with 780 sales. Istanbul was followed by Antalya with 567 sales, Bursa with 136 sales, Yalova with 118 sales, Aydın with 103 sales and Muğla with 102 sales.
According to the nationality of the country, the highest number of homes sold to Iraqi citizens
Iraqi citizens in October bought 430 from Turkey. Iraq was followed by Saudi Arabia with 325 houses, Russian Federation with 191 houses, Kuwait with 142 houses and England with 133 houses.
