694 thousand 760 tons of cow milk was collected by commercial dairies in September.
The amount of collected cow's milk increased by 2% in September compared to the same month of the previous year.
In September, drinking milk production by commercial dairies was 115,524 tons and increased by 9.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. Cow cheese production increased by 0,8% with 49,683 tons compared to the same month of the previous year. Sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk cheese varieties increased by 1 443 tons compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 6.2%.
Yoghurt production increased by 2.3% compared to the same month of the previous year with 99,777 tons. Buttermilk production increased by 9,7% compared to the same month of the previous year with 60 thousand 73 tons.
In September, the average milk content of cow milk collected by commercial dairies was 3.5% and the average protein content was 3.3%.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted amount of collected cow's milk decreased by 0.1% in September when compared to the previous month. The amount of calender-free collected cow's milk increased by 2.3% in September compared to the same month of the previous year.
