695 thousand 164 tons of cow milk was collected by commercial dairies in October
The amount of cow milk collected increased by 7.2% in October compared to the same month of the previous year.
In October, drinking milk production by commercial dairies was 114,870 tons, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same month of the previous year. Cow cheese production increased by 51% 164 tons and increased by 5.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. Sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk cheese varieties decreased by 26.9% with 489 tons compared to the same month of the previous year.
Yoghurt production increased by 13,3% compared to the same month of the previous year with 94,372 tons. Buttermilk production increased by 13,4% when compared to the same month of the previous year with 56 thousand 605 tons.
The average fat content of cow milk collected by commercial dairies in October was 3.4% and the average protein rate was 3.2%.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted amount of collected cow's milk increased by 0.1% in October when compared to the previous month. The amount of calendered milk collected increased by 5.7% in October compared to the same month of the previous year.
