Overseas producer price index falls 2.07% month-on-month

The foreign producer price index (HDI-PPI), which measures the change in producer prices of goods exported and manufactured abroad, decreased by 2.07% in October 2015 compared to the previous month and increased by 14.93% compared to December of the previous year. increased by 13.17% compared to the same month of the previous year and increased by 6.54% compared to the twelve-month averages.

Changes of the two sectors of the industry compared to the previous month; mining and quarrying sector decreased by 1.31% and manufacturing industry decreased by 2.09%.

The highest monthly decrease was in computers and electronic products

The sub-sectors where the indices showed the highest decrease compared to the previous month were; computers and electronics and optical products (-6.22%), chemicals and chemical products (-3.75%), coke and refined petroleum products (-3.57%). On the other hand, other manufactured goods (0.99%) and leather and related products (0.95%) were the sub-sectors where the indices showed the highest increase compared to the previous month.
